Micah wins at CFFC!

And the winning continues!!

Conquest instructor and fighter Micah Terrill kept the winning ways going with a great performance on August 9th, 2014 for Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC) at the Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. It was a short night for the team, but the kind of short night we like. Micah was the first fight on the card and was walking down to the cage by 6:15 PM. Across the cage was a very game Christian Leonard at only 19 years old but already with 15 fights under his belt. This was a big fight for Micah, coming off a great win at Shogun Fights in June, he was looking to bring himself back above 500 and move his record to 4-3. He did exactly that, and just like his last fight, his performance was textbook. Both fighters came out to the bell and made it clear they wanted to keep the fight standing. Micah quickly started to win the striking battle utilizing his reach to keep Christian at bay. Realizing this, Christian started to look to close the distance and began throwing the coined “superman punch” technique jumping towards Micah. Noticing an opening, Micah timed a punch perfectly and landed a powerful left hook dropping Christian to the canvas. He immediately capitalized and closed in for the finish with two more solid ground and pound strikes. The referee immediately called a halt to the bout declaring Micah winner by KO in the first round. This is Micah’s second win in a row and he seems to really be hitting a stride. We expect big things out of him as he returns to Shogun in November. CFFC put on a great show, and the rest of the fights that evening were a pleasure to watch. We thank them for the opportunity and look forward to the Conquest Fight Team back in action in AC.

The team now moves to 12-0 since Spring!!
