Richard Semides
Richard Semides is a jiujitsu Black Belt who joined the Conquest Team in early 2014. Since his time joining the team Rich has been one of the most active jiujitsu competitors and coaches for Conquest, and is one of the original Competition team members. Rich has traveled the United States to compete in high level jiujitsu tournaments on a regular basis, and continues to strive towards his goals of becoming a champion. Prior to joining the Conquest Team Rich was an active duty Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. His love for jiujitsu originated from his time in the Marine Corps and a limited exposure to MCMAP, which led him to track down additional jiujitsu training opportunities. Rich started training in 2009 with Team Choco Germany before moving on to other schools including Gracie Downtown Pensacola, Oceanside Jiujitsu, and Kingman BJJ. Rich enjoys bringing a philosophical outlook to jiujitsu, and believes that jiujitsu can help people become the best version of themselves. Rich currently in one of the Conquest Competition Team Captains and is the head Coaches for the United States Naval Academy’s BJJ Team.
